I would imagine that the game will actually run at a much faster speed. This is probably also why we are not able to get to 120 FPS. This may also explain why the game feels a bit slower to me at 30 FPS compared to 60 FPS. I did a little bit more testing and I found out that the game actually runs at about half speed if you play the game at 15 FPS. Here is a video showing the final boss fight at 60 FPS and 30 FPS. Animations for quick time evens move too fast at 30 FPS, so I would think that they move really slow at 120 FPS. I haven't tested anything over 60 FPS, but I would imagine that a similar thing will happen. The boss will literally hit you before you have a chance to defend yourself. I have already tried switching to high performance mode in windows so my CPU stays at 4.4 GHz all the time, but the GPU usage is just all over the place. Dropping most graphics settings doesn't do anything, only the 2 options related to the number of cut up pieces on the screen seem to affect the stuttering. So, the game runs at a steady 60fps all maxed out (and it obviously should since it doesn't look that impressive), but as soon as I slice up people or they explode I have drops down to 40 or even 25 FPS. ![]()
